Description

Scoop up a tasty treat, with this group of (9) early 1970s Baskin-Robbins baseballs. Made by Spalding, these sponsored Little League balls are all housed in individual factory boxes, which in turn are housed in a Spalding dozen box. Stamped on the sweet spots is "Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream" with the famous "31" logo. Located on the north panel, is a "Baseball Nut" graphic of a jubilant fan wearing a fielder's glove on one hand, and holding an ice cream cone in the other. The reverse sweet spot is stamped with "Little League", and the east panel bears the model number "Spalding LL1". Each of the individual boxes is stamped with "44-1317 Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream". (6) Balls are in unopened boxes, while (2) are opened from the top, and (1) is opened from the bottom. The (3) balls in the opened boxes bear light to moderate age toning, in keeping with their vintage nature, while the factory stampings remain bold. The boxes are generally in excellent shape, however the dozen box is absent one long side panel on the lid, which also has one split corner.
