A classic non-sport series takes flight, with the offering of this 1934 R136 National Chicle Sky Birds complete run of (84) cards numbered between 25-108. The Sky Birds series was first introduced in 1933, with 24 cards numbered 1-24. In 1934 another 24 cards were issued, stated on the back as "Series of 48". Due to popular demand, National Chicle intended to issue another 96 cards, but stopped the series at card #108. Though #108 is the last card, the backs of the 1934 final 84-card run are printed with "Series of 144". All (84) cards in this lot are "Series of 144" backs, and all cards from #25 through #108 are present and accounted for.
