Description

Hero of Villanova's David-and-Goliath championship win over Georgetown, Ed Pinckney later returned to Philadelphia for a brief stint with the 76ers as part of his 12-season NBA career. At some point in his Philly comings and goings, Pinckney parted with this pair of Celtics-era Pony size-13 gamers, as noted in Ed Dolan's accompanying LOA: "These terrific sneakers were given directly from Ed Pinckney to my friend of 35 years, a 50-year Philadelphia Area Sports Media Icon during Pinckney's active career in the NBA. These sneakers have never publicly been offered for sale. The sneakers show moderate to heavy game use....These sneakers were part of my personal collection. Over the last 40 years, I have bought and sold more Phillies, Sixers, Flyers and Eagles game worn uniforms and game used equipment than any other dealer collector in the country." Pinckney's silver-Sharpie "10" signatures come with JSA stickers/certs.
