Description

Baltimore Orioles’ shortstop Cal Ripken and his career defining consecutive game streak is often credited with saving the game of baseball following the cancellation of the 1994 World Series. Presented are an amazing (835) different tickets, spanning 17 seasons, from games played during Ripken’s games-played streak, by far the largest collection of Ripken tickets offered for public auction. Included are tickets from (15) double headers resulting in a total representation of (850) games. This collection features tickets from (93) games in which Ripken homered, Earl Weaver’s last game, Eddie Murray’s 500th home run and game #2632, the final game of the streak. Due to the vast number of tickets, an itemization of the individual games is not feasible; however, (261) full tickets are included along with (200) away tickets.
