Description

Issued at "The House That Ruth Built" for either Game 3 or Game 4 (the clincher) of the 1950 World Series, this Yankee Stadium program represents yet another Bronx championship. In a departure from their seemingly annual conquests of the cross-borough Dodgers, the Pinstripers made short work of Philadelphia's "Whiz Kids," as this program was purchased on site. With a colorful front cover listing the club's 16 (a number that has since grown to 27) crowing achievements, the interior pages are highlighted by unmarked scoring grids. With covers and all pages intact, the guide presents minimally at the (EX-MT) level, with a decidedly sturdy spine and minimal evidence of handling on the front cover.
