Description

With Shibe Park as the historic setting, the hometown Athletics bested the visiting Cardinals 6-1 in Game 2 of the 1930 World Series. Presented is a period 1928-1932 OAL Barnard sphere related to the contest. The moderately soiled ball is neatly notated on the north panel in black ink Ball used in 2nd game of World Series at Phila. Phila Earnshaw St. Louis Rhem. Free of significant contusions or wear, the blue-and-red-stitched collectible has survived the decades in impressive condition.
