Taking a cue from the popularity of its baseball statues, the Hartland Plastics company issued football versions beginning in 1959. Offered are (2) examples of these decidedly scarce gridiron collectibles. Limited in their distribution, the Sunday relics were issued to represent each of the (then) 14 NFL teams. This pair of survivors includes: Philadelphia Eagles Lineman - sporting the number "89" in decal form, this intimidating figurine is positioned on a green platform with his team name embossed on the front. The facemask is missing and minimal flaking affects the numeric identifiers on this (VG-EX) specimen; Chicago Bears Running Back - a "Running Back" statue with "23" decals and (EX) overall presentation (for the statue itself). The platform, however, appears to be a replacement and the facemask is missing.
