One of four Elvis Presley songs to peak atop Billboard's charts in 1956, "Hound Dog" prompted the pop icon's energetic performances and resultant raves from his female audience. The offered Elvis statue/wine decanter doubles as a musical device which plays the canine-themed hit. Standing nearly 15 inches in height, the ceramic statue is affixed to a rectangular wooden platform and shows Elvis performing in a flashy gold-colored jacket with a hound dog sporting a derby hat perched on a nearby pedestal. The dog, incidentally, has a cork affixed to its underside to facilitate insertion into the hallowed decanter. On the underside of the base, a winding mechanism plays "Hound Dog." Crafted by American Porcelain and McCormick Distilling Co. in 1985, the piece is fully functional and serves as a great reminder of rock-'n-roll's most revered icon.
