A survivor from a storied baseball venue on the shores of Lake Erie, this folding chair was once used at Cleveland's famed Municipal Stadium. Home to the Indians from 1931 through 1996, the edifice hosted (among other notable events) the end of Joe DiMaggio's 56-game hitting streak (1941). A vantage point for many a patron at the site, this 16-1/2 x 29-1/2" folding chair features a steel frame, a wooden backrest panel and a five-panel wooden seat. A vintage coat of blue paint has chipped throughout, and there is rust about the metallic components.
