Description

With luxurious amenities (and ticket prices to match) setting it apart from any other Major League venue, the new Yankee Stadium provides a state-of-the-art setting for the winningest team in American sports. The offered ticket was issued for the first-ever contest at the stadium. Encapsulated and graded "Full EX-MT 6" by PSA, this 3 x 6-1/2" voucher features gilded accents depicting the famed wrought iron facade and the venue's "2009 Inaugural Season" logo. The printed seating and event details include a "$150.00" asking price for a "Legends Suite" vantage point. Issued for the Thursday, April 16 home opener against the Cleveland Indians, the ticket granted its bearer access to the first hit (Johnny Damon), first home run (Grady Sizemore) and, of course, first game at the new facility. With the clubs knotted at 1-1 in the 7th inning, Cleveland put up a nine spot to secure the first win at the site.
